Hi! My name is Myra and I’m a food photographer and blogger dedicated to learning new things. I live north of Boston with my boyfriend and giant baby pit bull, Draco. When I’m not at my full time job as a retoucher, I’m in the kitchen with my friends drinking wine and experimenting. Like many of you, I have always loved collecting cookbooks. I read them at night, in bed, as if they were novels. I was constantly flagging recipes with Post-Its, yet rarely going back and actually making things.. I decided to change that with probably the most dramatic solve possible- I picked a book and cooked everything in it. I’m here to help encourage you to do the same. (At least make a few, they’re calling your name!) Go to your bookshelf, dust off a cookbook, and get to work. Splatter the pages with sauce and coat them with a layer of dusted flour. Bunny ear the pages and fill them with more Post-Its. Heck, write some notes directly in them! Paper clip your Grandma’s version to the page and compare. Celebrate the authors that were willing to share with you their stories, secrets and knowledge of delicious food. Share it all with your friends and family, and don’t forget to tag me too!
